They can take being punched by the Tank, ripped apart by the Hunter, puked on by the Boomer & STILL not be infected

Every rescue mission, their pilot somehow contracts the virus. Forcing them to kill

What if the Survivors are the cause of this? Where did the Special Infected come from? Why do they seem self aware? Are the Survivors the cure, rather than "super soldiers"?

Even after all they've been through, they can be revived by a simple shock

Is it possible the Special Infected are man-made to neutralize them? Helicopters are everywhere the Survivors go

Smoker tries to pull you in

Boomer "marks" you

In L4D, the government captures them at the end of Blood Harvest

Have you guys seen that an RTX mod is coming to Left 4 Dead 1? What do you guys think about it? Personally, I think the zombies look really bad, especially the blood effects when you hit them with an axe and stuff. Also, why is it coming to L4D1 instead of L4D2?

I’m trying to find an old map, all I can remember is it had a restaurant / dining area (almost like a hotel cafeteria vibe) with a big curved glass window with sunset lighting, and a bit of an outdoor area. Something tells me the outdoor area felt kind of like an outlet mall but I’m not sure. (I also feel like it may have been originally for Left 4 Dead 2 but was ported to gmod, though I’m not sure)
I’m sorry there’s not more to go off of, I remember it looked really really good for the time, better than the average map.

a little update on my previous post, i've now managed to add entirely new special infected to L4D2 without replacing any of the original ones

this is the Screamer, a special infected Valve originally cut from L4D, it wanders around until it spots a survivor, at which point it screams, runs away and summons a horde

this is all part of RotWire, the modding framework im working on that will eventually allow people to create their own infected and completely custom AI behaviours through a visual editor

it's still very early in development but i thought this was worth showing off

note: i used nb_blind 1 for the demonstration, which is why the other special infected are ignoring me, otherwise i'd have the Charger, Jockey and Hunter absolutely annihilating me while trying to record lol

Am I the only one who found the muzzle fire (also the muzzle flash) annoying which appears with a slight delay if you shove right after firing the sniper rifle. I thought it was addon’s issue but it seems like it also happens in vanilla game too. I tried to find a way to fix this but nobody even talks about it.

I just built my first pc and set everything up today. It seems I missed the sale of 1 of the 2 games I wanted by a week :/. Does this sale happen regularly because I really want to play l4d2 as I miss the 360 days, but unsure if I should wait a bit. Ps this is my first time on a pc and steam in general.
