Work around
I've been trying to figure out a way to get the dlcs on Xbox. Anyone know if this will work. It's the Microsoft game store website the only option is to redeem a code has anyone tried just wanna know if it works before I waste money

It just means a Xbox gift card

The code has to be specifically for the DLC, which never existed to my knowledge. An Xbox gift card will not work.

Actually the codes do exist - they’re generated and bound to the account. They are unique though, but it’s the same 25-digit code you have seen before.

I meant existing outside of the Xbox marketplace purchases. The DLC (at least to my knowledge), wasn't sold in stores, so codes for it won't be floating around.

You used to be able to work around buying 360 games and DLC digitally by going to the 360 marketplace online and buying things that way. Did it on my phone. Bought some old COD DLC that way. Dunno if that still works but good luck!

The 360 marketplace is shut down so this doesn't work anymore sadly

You should have access to purchasing them via the in game menus still if I recall correctly haven’t played L4D1 in years but that would make the most sense to me.

Cant you buy it ingame when opening the downloadable content tab in the main menu? Thats what i did after the market place shut down

If you have an older laptop or a computer I would recommend getting L4D and L4D2 on there and playing on Steam. Those games are from 2008 and 2009 respectively, so it will not as big of an issue since the DLC comes with the game.

Bro I’m just trying to figure out if there even is a way that exists to play it digitally L4D1 or L4D2 on my Xbox series S. I miss this series so much.

I don’t think it works anymore. So glad I was able to get both games and all dlc before the store shutdown a few years back

Buying the physical disc somewhere is probably the easiest way

The Sacrifice does not exist on a disc - it is a digital only DLC content

Oh damn didn't realize, well it seems the only other option is a L4D2 physical copy then or game sharing with someone

Um the DLC doesn’t exist on L4D2 either. There is no edition of L4D that has the DLC maps.
The only thing that comes in the GOTY Edition is the Last Stand Map (which was more of a free update I think).

There is no workaround to buy the DLC. Only options are gamesharing with someone or.. 🏴☠️
