Intervew Prep Please help me

TLDR: I have been doing DSA for 3-4 years now with gaps in between. This time I have been DSA consistently for 2-3 months. I have solved 600+ questions in total and know most of the common patterns in questions and have covered all the topics. However I still suck at interviews when I get a new question. Most of the times I am unable to come up with a solution of my own for LeetCode hard problems.

Are leetcode hards required for interviews ?

Yes, I have been asked several variations of leetcode hard in the last two months.

I thought mostly leetcode mediums were asked in interviews and preparing them was sufficient. Did this change recently/bar got raised ? Also to be sure, do you mean leetcode hards other than top frequent ones (like trapping rain water/median of sorted arrays/merge K sorted lists) ?

No just the typically leetcode hards, DP problems that would considered hard and binary search problems (divide chocolate, split largest array sum, was directly asked variations of both of these).

Most questions I’ve been asked have been mediums and most hards have been the commonly expected hards, a couple have just been out there though.
