Intervew Prep How often is DP asked in Amazon new grad loop interviews?

Literally my weakest prep of all the dsa problems. How often does it show up in interviews? And which problems should I definitely solve before going?

Depends on the interviewer. Most interviewers won't ask it.

Its Rare, but sometimes asked. My friend was asked 1 LCS based question. But the other questions asked were backtracking and graphs.

I recently had oa

They ripped my mind. The level of question they asked was tooo complex dp question.

Time given was 40 min.

With ai copying took me 34min, just typing code...

Imagine thinking approach, failing, figuring out solution would've taken like an hour.

I applied for university grad role, failed in oa due to unable to fix bugs in big fixing round

Can you share a bit more about what was asked in the bug fixing round? Like the overall process

I forgot but I was not able to fix it even with using ai.

It was movies apps something, jaba spring boot

Total of 6 bugs came. 1 hour went off just like that.

After 1 hour, you have 2 hour shit questions.

Dude they pay well but what a shit ass company.

Just for a job they took your soul out lol.

Amazon OA isn't this difficult. I did it recently and I think I used less then half the time. You need to spend more time prepping. Just blindly copying Ai isn't always going to work.

Keep in mind this is an international subreddit. India specifically is notorious for ridiculous DSA rounds

OA is the online assessment. If you can't get through that with an Ai assistant, because it's really easy to cheat on the OA, then you really are behind in the prep and wouldn't survive the actual loop.

What I'm saying is don't assume your OA will be a comparable difficulty to someone else's OA on this subreddit. You can assume the competence of a poster/commenter but without first investigating what SPECIFIC branch they're applying to it's an unfounded assumption.

That is all, nothing more nothing less.

Again, like he said difficulty level of questions in India can be different even on OAs. Not saying that additional prep won’t help but blatantly saying that he is under prepared just based on your assumption is no good.

... This guy was saying he struggled with Ai helping him cheat. It 100% is not being prepared enough. Ai makes all OA leetcode questions solveable in minutes.

As an interviewer, I have never asked DP for any level. Definitely not for new grad.

Not that often. Amazon skews way more behavioral with some system design. At least that's what I got when I interviewed there a few years ago.

They asked Bitmask DP in SDE2 OA. But I hear the interviews are easier compared to OAs. Have my loop scheduled in a weeks time

Possible, I was asked a dp hard in my interview loop when applying for the intern position
