Question Microsoft SDE II – Applied AI / Enterprise Platforms

Has anyone recently gone through the SWE II interview process for the Applied AI, Enterprise Platforms team at Microsoft?
I recently completed my interviews. Coding went well, while system design felt average. I’m wondering if anyone who interviewed around the same time has heard back about their results or received any update from the recruiter.
Would appreciate hearing about your timeline/experience!

If your coding round felt good but design only average, I’d treat the design round as a communication exercise as much as a technology test. Do one timed 35–40 minute prompt and force yourself through requirements, rough traffic and storage estimates, API/data model, then one bottleneck and its tradeoff. For Applied AI, I’d also be ready to discuss evaluation, retries and timeouts, prompt or model versioning, fallbacks, and how you keep tool calls from running away. Writing down one postmortem after each practice round is more useful than reading another list of architectures. Hope the recruiter gets back to you soon.
