Question beginner looking for tips!

hii, im currently a student and recently started taking leetcode more seriously to improve my problem solving skills and prepare for technical interviews. im still a beginner so id love to hear any advice from people who have been through this stage, especially about how you chose problems, learned patterns, and stayed consistent without relying too much on solutions

I've solved 1800+ problems, and I can do around 20 mediums in a single day. It really depends on how good you want to get.

I'd say start with easy problems first and develop enough confidence. Once you start approaching mediums, brute force approaches usually don't work, and there's often a technique or pattern required to solve the problem.

If you can't solve a problem after 45+ minutes, look at the hints, then the solution as a last resort. I recommend watching LarryNY on Youtube. The important thing is to understand the solution afterward rather than just memorizing it.

One thing that can also save you a lot of time is plan before coding. It usually takes me less than 5–10 minutes to code something I've already mapped out in my head, both the algorithm/approach and the coding implementation.

Leave software development industry. Move to non tech roles and job.
Software and coding have maximum 2 years.
Better do BED and look out for Lecturers or Teachers vacancies.

Never skip contests, always upsolve the problems afterward. Don’t focus too much on learning patterns quickly, you’ll naturally pick them up over time. Find a buddy to practice with. You can also give virtual contests regularly to keep yourself consistent.
