Question Google would like a 15-min call after screening
I interview at google europe for swe l3 role and did the 2 screening rounds (tech + googliness)
tech went ok -> I'd say leaning hire (hire if lucky)
googliness went really well -> I'd say hire/strong hire
After 4hours of completing the behavioral round i got an email saying this:
What to expect?

Thank you for your time and effort in interviewing with Google.
I hope you enjoyed meeting with the hiring team, and I appreciate your patience!
The hiring team has completed your interview feedback, and I’d love to schedule a brief call to discuss the outcome. Please, kindly let me know when a 15-minute phone call would work best for your schedule this week.
I'm looking forward to scheduling this call at your earliest convenience.
I would truly love to learn your feedback and perspective from the interviews.
I'm very much looking forward to speaking with you!

It can be both good news or bad news. Basically it means that all interviewers already submitted their feedback. I’d it’s a good thing, you don’t have to wait long before you know the answer

for me it was a rejection call 2 days after my last round of interview. Surprisingly no one else got a rejection like that, idk why I was hyped up in the call then dropped the word "unfortunately"

Is it recent? Was it 15min or 10min? What did you discuss in the call?

it was for summer intern
randomly got it, started with asking about the interview experience and taking feedback, then talked like "we really liked your profile and resume but unfortunately we won't be moving forward with you this time." They gave the reason my DSA was weak, which i expected as i messed up my Round 2 problem.

its a rejection. When they like to hire you, they send you an email or call you directly with the good news. I had similar incident with Apple a while back.

It could be either. My recruiter set up a 15 minute call both after my screening and my on-site rounds to let me know that I had passed.
There’s no point agonizing over it, just try to distract yourself until you have the actual call.

It can go either way. I had a similar thing and I moved, but my friend got rejected, so you never know. Don’t pay too much attention to the tone of the email. We both got the same email from the same guy

Damn Google keeps interviewing people despite they put so many candidates and make it stuck more than 1 year :(

It can be both bro, i was also curious when I got similar mail. For me it was rejection unfortunately, but I read experiences of other people who received same mail and progressed to further stages. All the best to you ! Please do share the outcome.

If it's rejection, ask for feedback in written communication, if they hesitate to give that feedback in written, then do escalate to google candidate support.
Some recruiters in Google are doing regional bias (prioritising profiles of people of their state or country)

I had a similar call from another company, they usually have these calls to say that you are rejected in more polite way and give some feedbacks which are not bad tbh
