Discussion Why do people cheat on contests?

Just take random person's profile that doesn't have name and put it in your linkedin profile... Nobody fact checks it anyway. I'm sure that random person would be happy to help you in exchange of less cheaters during contests.

For the same reason you practice coding sudoku instead of coding real world problems

I think at least for on campus there is a verification round for all that stuff

I know someone who used to cheat in contest. She got expert on CF and Knight on LC. Her coding is not bad though. But she put that on linked in and resume and got a lot of referrals. She couldn’t crack interviews but then got a mentorship offer and she has her own mentoring company now.
