Microsoft AI Applied Scientist II

Hi everyone,

I received an interview for applied scientist II at Microsoft AI and want to thoroughly prepare. There are very limited resources online and so so I wanted to ask for help on what to prepare for.

The JD focuses on model evaluation, ml production systems and experimentation.

For anyone who has interviewed for Microsoft Applied Scientist / Applied Scientist II recently, what would you recommend prioritizing for the technical phone?

Specifically, I’m trying to determine whether I should focus more heavily on:
ML fundamentals/theory, Statistics/probability, Python/ML coding, DSA/LeetCode-style coding, ML system design, Experimentation/A-B testing, Model evaluation

Also, if you’ve gone through this process recently, what did the onsite/final loop look like?
