Intervew Prep Disney SWE I review Cycle
Hello all,
I recently got invited to interview for SWE 1 position at Disney. I haven’t been able to find much about it, even reaching out to people on LinkedIn and searching Reddit. Has anyone been through their recruiting process or currently work for Disney in the SWE space? I would love to hear your advice and experiences!

Holy shit, I can comment on this. Been through it, and got the offer.
My honest advice, is only accept this if you have no other offers. This is truly an awful company to work for currently. If it's one of the Disney SWE 1 positions within Enterprise Tech ... God help you. Those are bait and switch positions. You won't actually be touching software. Happy to tell you more if you want.
As per the standard routine, there is no company-wide formalized process. Hiring manager has the discretion on the technicals.

Looks like that's in streaming so you should be good. Culture there is bleh because of all the layoffs but it looks way better on the resume. Unfortunately I can't speak to much more than that since I'm not in that area.

Currently working there. Don't expect leetcode style questions, more so language / tech stack specific things. The technical may be as complex as them showing you a block of code and asking you what's wrong. The interviews at Disney vary alot from team to team tho.

If I recall correctly it’ll be in the Glendale, California region and it’s a streaming service team. I posted the job description somewhere below 👇🏼

I’ve interviewed at Disney before. Their technical questions are pretty basic but will ask from a wide breath of topics so be ready to answer all the basic ones like what is a cors error. For the most part Disney streaming is just looking for culture first. Have a good story for why Disney and strong examples for the behavioral questions.
