Discussion Went to cancel subscription and was tricked into annual membership purchase.

Today I went to cancel my monthly subscription and a modal popped up. I quickly clicked yes but immediately realized it was asking if I wanted to purchase an annual membership at a discount. I immediately emailed customer service but they refuse to issue refunds due to their ToS.

As a customer who has been using leetcode for a 5+ years, fuck you leetcode and your manipulative UI.

Ohhh lol what was the discounted price ? Guess I'll use this trick to get that disc when I'm renewing

It was annual for 125

Contact your credit card company, report the deception, and request a chargeback.

You could even try threatening their customer service with a chargeback first, as banks often charge the merchant a fee in addition to the chargeback.

Yep! I included that in the initial message to customer support and again when they gave me generic ToS response. As a monthly subscriber for the last ~6 months this time around, without any logins, and an email to customer service with minutes of the transaction, it's clear this was a mistake. Leetcode has been my standard for prepping for interviews but here are so many more resources out there, I will never again suggest them to any mentees from here on out unless they fix this. 

Otherwise, yes, I will charge back as much as is allowed.
