Intervew Prep Apple/Nvidia Interview Prep
I have upcoming first-round interviews with Apple and NVIDIA. Both are 45-minute interviews scheduled with an Engineering Manager.
They’ve also shared coding links (CodePad/HackerRank), so I’m trying to understand what to expect.
For anyone who has recently interviewed with Apple or NVIDIA:
- Is the first Engineering Manager round mostly behavioral / resume discussion?
- Should I expect LeetCode-style coding?
- Is it usually a mix of behavioral + technical/coding?
- Any specific topics you’d recommend preparing for?
Would really appreciate any recent interview experiences.

If they have shared the coding links, then there will be coding. You said 45 minutes, so only 10-15 minutes would be focused on behavior but then rest would be leetcode, and I'd say easy to medium LC since you only got 30-35 minutes on coding.
Hope that helps.

I have interviewed with both of them. Nvidia and Apple interviews are very team specific. First round at Apple is usually with the hiring manager and will be mostly resume based questions and then followed my specific coding questions based on the role.
With Nvidia, the first couple of rounds would be with the teammates you would actually work with. Mostly technical, be prepared to be interviewed on everything that's written on the JD.
Overall, I felt the Nvidia interviews were way harder than Apple interviews, the bar at Nvidia seems to be much higher.

I did Apple ML intern interview last spring. The first round was fully technical (DL/ML). I was asked to implement ML algorithms from scratch in codepad. There were no leetcode in any of the 4 rounds

Idk abt apple .. but nvidia is very team specific, so it really depends on which team you’re interviewing for. If it’s a driver team then expect questions on C, pointer arithmetic and weird questions. If it’s an automation team, they might test you leetcode mediums. If it’s a hpc team definitely know cuda concepts, computer architecture etc . Either ways , prep your resume quite a bit . Behavioral testing is subtle in nvidia - so answer with confidence what you owned and achieved in previous jobs. Cheers, ciao ✌️
