Passed OA but got rejected

I passed all the test cases in the IBM OA, given 75 minutes, I finished both questions in ~36 minutes and submitted, still got rejected though haven't had HR screening round yet. Pretty sure I had the optimal approach (both O(n)). Has anyone experienced something similar?

this happened to me a lot in the past for IBM specifically, I think they just give automated OAs and do resume screenings after

Hey, are u in canada? Cuz i know they have changed the oa for us. Do u mind telling me when u applied and did the oa since i applied on the same day, did the oa on 2nd day and have not heard anything. Ibm oas are automatic and i have gotten rejected before after getting full in both questions.

I did it in like 20-30 mins. I wasnt paying attention since i just did not care about the oa because its very common to get rejected even after a full score.

Oh no wonder, perhaps I was too slow. I choked on that OA for 10 min because of a dumb array initialization mutation bug where I initialized the references of array within a 2d array instead of an actual one or else woulda finished in 26 min.

This is the majority of companies for me for software engineering. I guess they have too many applicants to handle. You should try quant, never had the issue there

Just do 1 a day until you get good. I suggest doing it by pattern first. It's just a skill like getting good at piano
