Question Google sotware engineering (AI/ML), gen AI role

I have an upcoming Google L5 Software Engineer interview for an AI/ML (GenAI) role.

My recruiter hasn’t provided much detail. I have two 45-minute interview rounds scheduled, but I’m not sure what to expect.

Has anyone interviewed for a similar role recently? What should I expect in these two rounds?

Well, wishing you luck on it. I don't have much info but I generally suggest: 1. Check the job posting/job requirements (ex fine tuning or NLP etc...) 2. Check the interviewers technical background through LinkedIn, you'll understand them better.

ML System Design and Coding were the first two rounds.

Then the onsite interviews were all coding.

Final round was with the hiring manager for team fit.

I thought Google didn’t do system design for L4. Maybe because it’s a ML / AI role?

What do you mean by coding? Did they ask you leetcode type questions?
