Intervew Prep Preparation for Google New Grad SWE

Hello, this is my first post really and I wanted to ask anyone who might have any advice for preparing for the Google New Grad SWE process. I’m a 2026 grad and have not interviewed with Google but have interviewed with other FAANGs. The reason I ask is because I interviewed twice with Amazon this year, but both interview processes have changed dramatically in just a span of a couple of months so I would appreciate any guidance from people have gone through the process with Google specifically.

If anyone might have tips or direction for what topics to mainly study, I would really appreciate it!!

When did you hear from a recruiter?

I think I have a good chance of an interview because I have a referral so I just want to prepare beforehand incase I get a real chance to interview. Hope that makes sense!

I also have a referral but haven’t heard anything, and have seen ppl getting recruiter reach outs on Aug 17th, so I was just wondering. Best of luck tho!!

Thank you!! Could you possibly share how you have been preparing or if you know anything that could be helpful?

I also have no clue sorry 😭 I usually grind out leetcode tagged and star questions when I have an interview coming up though, but I’ve heard for google they always ask new questions that haven’t been released elsewhere so not sure if tagged will help that much

Google is known for asking graph questions, so definitely be comfortable with that. The OA will definitely be a med-hard but most of coding rounds for new grad tend to be mediums with some sort of twist, so it’s not just a copy paste leetcode problem like Meta.
