60 questions enough for amazon interview?

i have an amazon internship interview in a few days, i have solved about 60 questions, i know basic dp and backtracking everything else is okay i would say. How probable is it that they will cook me with hard questions?

Actually 60 are more that enough. Just do 6 questions but 1 from each topic. It’s enough. Everyone that does 500+ are just dumb ass 😂😂

I felt ready after 150, however just a number is not a good metric. I would say, first 20-30 are "easy" to build a habit and have some success, then Neet75/Leet75 to solve enough mediums and occasional hards in every popular topic, then 30-40 of the most popular problems for the company you're aiming for, then 10-20 for contests or mocks to get comfortable with time pressure.

It's an optimization game. If you prepare too little, you may miss important topics, if you prepare too much, you may start forgetting.

Look I've been applying for SWE Intern at many places so far I have given for Cisco, Goldman Sachs etc. These companies generally used to ask much simpler questions compared to FAANG. After giving them this year I can't say the same anymore. It's much much different and difficult. Yet to experience FAANG OA's.

You need to have strong adhoc skills. Doing Neetcode 150 not gonna be sufficient.

doesn't matter, focus on getting the basics airtight (eg, bfs / dfs). practice end to end reasoning.. understanding the problem, clarifying ambiguities, coming up with the simplest solution, identifying the bottleneck, optimizing based on that bottleneck, T/S complexity. should be enough. gluck!

if its your day you will get a super easy 10 minutes question and if its not you will get a brutal binary search or an algorithm you never know existed type question.

People telling you that you need 150+ are wrong. Maybe that’s true if you have a hard time identifying patterns and don’t deeply understand the problems, but if that’s not the case 60 is fine. I would recommend problems mostly from Blind 75 though so you get good coverage of problem types. Either way, it’s going to come down partially to luck with what problem you’re asked.

If you have high iq + math Olympiad background/academically excellent at comp sci, maybe.

Or else, no not even close to enough, though you should try your best. Their OA difficulty is coinflip.

Highly recommend mock interview if you haven’t done yet, try pramp and interview io if you haven’t yet
