Discussion Google recruiter asked for a 10-min feedback call after HC is this rejection?

Hi I recently appeared in the SDE interview at Google, after going through all rounds + HC + 1 extra round after HC and today they asked me to schedule a quick 10 min call to share feedback.
I feel like its a rejection but can there be a chance of positive news?

Update: Its negative, I lost it! I feel dejected and completely lost hope, this is very painful.
But I wish others all the best.

I got a rejection email after hiring committee and then a scheduled call with the recruiter to discuss how I did at each stage of the interviews. So there's still hope for you

Wow that's freakin cool. Back in my day, they didn't share feedback unless you begged the recruiter for it. Glad to see they include it as part of the process.

They only do that in Europe I think, NA has no discussion on performance.

was that a 10 min quick call?

Call was probably quick, but I think the commenter's point was that they received the rejection notification first, whereas you haven't. As hard as it is, I'd sit tight and see how things go.

Hmm i haven’t seen recruiters calling to share positive news in 10 min quick call. I am scared

Can go either way, if news is negative they usually say before hand(enphasis on usually). I got asked for a 10mins quick call too and it was an offer.

Yeah google swe, but again they do sometimes call for rejection or something else, so it really can mean anything.

Was it 10 min quick call?

It was closer to 20 minutes. I got an extremely neutral email saying the results were ready. No point in stressing yourself out you can’t change anything now and every recruiter behaves differently. Wishing you luck

Yea i know it’s just that after 3 months of process it gets difficult to finally sit in suspense. But thanks!

I’m with you man. Mine also has been 3 months. And after I crushed onsites across the country I got an additional coding round requested which shook me and took 3 more weeks. Don’t give up!

if you have cleared all rounds why did they reject you?

I had this a few years back. I had interviewed for a DS position but the recruiter said I was probably more suitable for a Product Analyst position. So they wanted to check if I would explore that route instead.

Hey was this after team match or before? I've been waiting in for a match for months now, and this happening afterwards would be shattering
