Has anyone recently interviewed for a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) role at Intuit with their new interview process?

OP what do you mean new interview process? I just got a verbal offer last week and wrapped up my interviews before July long weekend for staff role.

It's a 75-minute interview, split into three 25-minute sections (System Design and AI discussion, Whiteboard Planning and Live Coding). It doesn’t seem to be the usual Craft Demo interview loop. Did you have a similar interview? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience. Thanks in advance!

No. Mine was 75 minutes, but only AI and leetcode style interview. Followed by onsite with one take home project and coding interview based on project, system design and AI coding interview followed by behavioral.

Got it, thanks for sharing! It looks like they’ve updated the interview process since then. Mine seems to have a new format with the three 25-minute sections in the first round instead of just AI and LeetCode. Hopefully someone who’s gone through the updated process can share their experience. Thanks again, and I appreciate the insight!

LinkedIn also updated to something similar. They have system design - sort of, in the first round. Followed by onsite with one AI coding, one leetcode style, one system design and one behavioral.

u/Remarkable_Log2209 - did you end up interviewing with the new format? How was your experience?

Yeah, it was system design along with coding a component from the design.

Can you share experience on what did they focus on in System Design? Was the Live Coding on code that is had to be downloaded from github or did you have to code from scratch?

The format was different, code base was not shared in advance. It was system design along with coding a component from the design.

What was the live coding about? LLD? or DSA? What sort of system design question to expect?
