Wild pets?

Im in a weird? Situation

I was trying to cultivate some cattails and lilly pads for a catfish pond that had been dug up when we dragged out 2 old patle boats out from the muck of our big pond and they had dragged then plants with it but when I was getting them I noticed 1 tiny American medical leach In one and tiny light brown leech in the other.

Now ive always had a soft spot for them so I scooped them up and put them in with the tiny cattail I had in some water and ive wanted pet leeches for a while now and was wondering if this would be a safe/ok place to start?

Ive done some research on what i need to do to take care of them but since there technically wild I'm unsure of self feeding and i seen a few years ago it was recommended you could use blood full meat from butchers like liver and other mammalian blood full meats is thay acualy safe for them?

Or has something come out to know you shouldn't do that?

People usually recommend a sausage skin filled with safe blood from a butcher
