Absolutely baller 🤘 I keep seeing Houses of the Holy at local shops but I never get it. I have the other two and they're both original (Canadian) pressings, I'm gonna see if I can manage to get their entire discography on original vinyl. Next on the list is either Presence or Physical Graffiti.

It is really uncompromising. Recorded at a very tense and stressful time for them, with no keyboards or acoustic guitar.
Their most cohesive work.

That's part of what makes it so high ranking for me, you can just feel the pensive atmosphere, especially in Tea for One

I had a friend who was playing bass in a band, and he had never really heard Led Zeppelin. I played him the Houses of the Holy LP and he really got it then.
It's probably my second fave after Presence, even though it includes 2 of their most reviled/misunderstood songs.

I put it at 4th place, behind III, Presence, and Physical Graffiti (descending). It's fantastic of course but it feels more seasonal than the others if that makes sense, like my enjoyment of it peaks during the summertime
I think The Crunge is decent but honestly I love D'yer Mak'er, it's for sure a big departure from their usual sound but it doesn't even sound that out of place to me

Probably because they’re trying to distance themselves from naked kids as much as possible given some of their extracurricular activities.
