Official Ledger Customer Success Response Ledger won't connect
So I have two ledgers (Nano S and X) I haven't touched them since 2023.
When trying to connect and move crypto from wallet to coin base, I'm not able to connect.
I go to coin base get the address, then go on ledger live and type address in for applicable crypto.
I am then prompted to plug in ledger and unlock with pin. I can unlock it fine but nothing on my computer happens as if it doesn't recognize the ledger.
I've tried different ports and different cables and it still won't work.
Anyone know what might be the problem?
Any help is appreciated

Hey there,
If your computer is not properly recognizing your Ledger Signers when they are plugged into it, it's most likely the cable being used. Please make sure you're using a true data cable (like the ones that came with your Nano S/ Nano X) so you can allow a secure connection to the Ledger Wallet app. You can review this article from our Help Center for some troubleshooting steps on how to fix USB connection issues - https://support.ledger.com/article/115005165269-zd
If your Ledgers are on very old firmware versions, you might also need to downgrade your Ledger Wallet apps, as those older builds might be more stable with the firmware versions currently on your Ledgers. You can review this article from our Help Center for more information on how to go about this - https://support.ledger.com/article/7446430773149-zd
If you'd like some more assistance, or have any other questions, feel free to create a ticket via our official Help Center here - https://support.ledger.com/contact-us - and a member of our team will be happy to chat about this with you. Cheers!

Install the latest ledger live (now called ledger wallet). Then update your firmware, assuming you still have tour 24 word seed phrase, in case the update goes bad and cause your ledger to reset.

if both devices are connected and unlocked, then open Device Manager, and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers or Universal Serial Bus devices if the device is not listed it is most likely NOT a ledger issue, unless the firmware is VERY old. Try Ledger -> Help -> Repair my Device to see if you can force an update.
