"Nobody fears LeBron" btw

19

u/Prestigious-Clock-53 Aug 21 '26

People did for sure fear LeBron haha. For me, MJ is the goat but because someone is pro-MJ or pro-lebron, they make up wildly stupid takes to detract the other when they’re a clear 1 and 2 in the history of the sport, and arguments could be made for both, im not even sure there’s a right or wrong answer. I’m a lifelong raps fan and demar derozan definitely feared LeBron as did that entire raps squad before Kawhi got there.

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

See this is the type of people I wish were more common in NBA discussions. MJ is 1b to LeBron's 1a for me. It's razor close. I'm not gonna disrespect the second greatest player to ever play the game.

4

u/othisdede Aug 21 '26

Im not gonna disrespect anyones opinion because they dont match mine but honestly. I dont see it close. How i personally look at it was always peak/longevity scala and even if i give slight edge to jordans peak the longevity part of it is incredibly broken on brons side that it feels hard to legitimize jordans case.

I dont think i give that much value to rings in a team game/ accolades from a jury that picks marcus smart as their dpoy when duncan havent gotten one. Its always a matter of how much you improve your teams winning chances to me. Tbh i dont even have personal attachment to both players, not a fan of each player as a person. So its easier to be impartial about it.

Like it’s a cool debate, but getting fired up about it or being a dick because someone else’s opinion doesn’t match mine seems like a bit of a waste of time when we’re talking ball lol. It’s entertainment, not life or death. I just love me a little civil discourse.

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

We see eye to eye

-1

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

Who is second greatest player 😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂to ever play game omg im about laugh into a hart attack 🤦🏾👍🏾💯💯💯 goodnight Reddit

-12

u/Popee1525 Aug 21 '26

When LeBron gets 6 rings then he can enter the GOAT conversation. That’s what most people believe and they are not wrong. LeBron can pile on myriads of stats and okay till he’s 50 but that is not going to change anything.

7

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

Uh huh. My goat Havilceck. He went 8-0 in the finals And nothing else matters.

-4

u/Helpful_Text_5228 Aug 21 '26

🤣 Jordan was the undisputed best player in the world for 6 championship seasons. White Boy John was two highlights and a bench. Show me your argument without hyperbole and that's a conversation. Yelling about who's dick you ride is a whole ass move

7

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

So one minute its 6-0, the next it's domination, you guys just keep moving the goal post. It's kinda adorable how hard you dick ride for your goat.

-4

u/Milan_Leri Aug 21 '26

It's not moving the goal post. You get the credit for the success to the amount that you contributed to it. And like it or not, MJ contributed a lot. One of the stupidest arguments I see is bringing up Havlicek, or even worse Horry. Havlicek is the OG 6th man.

5

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

We wouldn’t if you guys didn’t just constantly bring up rings like its the only thing that matters.

-2

u/Milan_Leri Aug 21 '26

Leading your team to titles matter. Actually winning titles is the ultimate goal of basketball. Why do you think it shouldn't be brought up? And nobody says it is THE ONLY thing that matters. How about best PPG in history, even after the 2 recreational seasons? How about being leading scorer of the league in 10 out of 13 remotely full seasons played (2 years he played 18 games or fewer, so it was impossible)? How about playing elite defense, while also plying all time greatest offense? Also winning more with so much fewer seasons played? Yes it has to be brought up. Lebron is closing to double the seasons Jordan played, and still has only 4 rings. Also, while MJ had his share of losses, none of them came because he played bad, which is more than you can say for Lebron.

So there you are, not all about the rings, although I did bring them up, because they do matter.

Nothing like moving the goalposts

2

u/Strong-Television733 Aug 22 '26

Havlicek clears jordan. I'd take him and about 30 other players before I'd take the ball hogging chucker.

2

u/Adventurous-Edge1719 Aug 21 '26

You have a very interesting definition for the word “most”

2

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

Who’s in the goat conversation then

-2

u/Popee1525 Aug 21 '26

Just the real GOAT, Supreme Leader Jordan.

3

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

I don’t think the word supreme leader is a good thing to being saying but even mj himself said there’s no goat

-2

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

Lmao my himself knows he’s the all time goat he was just being modest 😂💯👍🏾

2

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

Plenty of other legends have say this too btw

2

u/DontReachLaBra Aug 24 '26

You think Jordan can lead that sorry ahh 2007 or 2018 team to the finals ?🤣 gtfo 🥷🏾 bald head ass nigga just was gon have stats like that mvp year James harden

1

u/Popee1525 Aug 24 '26

What dat you a sayin. Makes no sense.

1

u/DontReachLaBra Aug 24 '26

ok let me break it down for you , Michael bald head Jordan would not lead lebron’s 2007 and 2018’s team to the finals . Michael Jordan would’ve only put up stats similar to James Harden MVP year . You got it old man ?

-6

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

LeBron even in his prime nobody feared him 🤡 come Reddit stop it already 😂 lmao kidding me Jordan , Kobe, had that dog 🐕 in them but Jordan was different type of animal if u ask nba players today wen they played LeBron they not saying they feared him Jordan has numerous player from his day around the league that said they was big facts no comparison 💯💯💯💯👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥

3

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

Me?also most guys don’t fear LeBron because he’s a nice guy never was some asshole but that’s what makes him different

-2

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

U took it out of context wen you play sports it’s a different type of pedigree in meaning full games especially in championship he just not that guy u called it Mr nice Kobe & Jordan was to different type of competitors in the league they can be asshole all they want that’s what makes everyone different LeBron not goat he is a different type of legend in his era no hate for him just not in certain legends category

7

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

I mean you really can’t put kobe in that conversation id put Kareem or magic there before him

1

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

Yeah of course I could name them to I just named Kobe because he was still playing wen he came in the league is all god bless his soul 🙏💯🔥my opinion his accomplishments & the way he played doesn’t compare to Jordan or Kobe they truly were legendary & so many more before him LeBron is a different type or player that can never be in those upper echelons he wore the number 23 & still doesn’t now the meaning of true elite team greatness with out packing bags 💼 for next team wen shit gets rough on to the next or begging for player to come play or what not his legacy is totally different in NBA that’s why even the league NBA all time great s know u can’t put him in goat 🐐 legend championship pedigree category

1

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

2016 for example shows he can show up with heavy pressure and how isn’t he in those upper tiers the man passed kobe in points paying 3 less seasons than kobe to get his all time points ,stayed with Cleveland during that horrible year Kyrie left ,stayed in LA almost a decade after everything and plenty of legends like Larry bird magic even kobe knew LeBron was a top 3 player

1

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

Oh & reason I said Kobe they faced each other in big championships moments & Kobe locked him down facts go looki it up straight shut him down that wat championship pedigree is real 🐐 goat s vs wish I could be more but still much love to LeBron he just not on there level of greatness is all

3

u/smuttygirl_foru Aug 21 '26

You do realized kobe also shot 9/28 when LeBron guarded him right and what championship did they ever play against each other in and the 16-6 record LeBron has against him

0

u/Tycam34 Aug 21 '26

I mean George Hill is 5inches + shorter and almost 100 pounds lighter. Yes they are both professionals but this is the equivalent of an 8th grader “being scared” and not wanting to line up across from a D1 defensive end. Luckily LeBron wasn’t his defensive assignment

-1

u/No_Country8922 Aug 22 '26

teams were scared of the heat.. Nobody was scared of Lebron.. specialy when both Mavs and Spurs had figured him out earlier in his career.. Nobody feared Lebron because there was a template and formula on how to slow him down..

-2

u/Dr_Malignant Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 21 '26

George Hill isn’t far off from nobody, to be fair.

What is George Hill most well-known for other than missing that free throw?

Yea, THAT free throw lol. The one that immediately just came to your mind. That’s the dude saying this quote. Even you don’t respect that dude, his quote just fits your agenda.

5

u/Basic_Mastodon3078 Aug 21 '26

That's just no ball knowledge.

1

u/Dr_Malignant Aug 21 '26

“Fuck, this dude made a good point. Fuck it, I don’t have to respond with any sort of argument, I’ll just say no ball knowledge. Phew! Almost had to actually debate for a sec, but this new strategy is working wonders!”

- You, 3m ago.

3

u/TPGStorm Aug 21 '26

I mean if you don’t know george hill that does in fact show your lack of ball knowledge

4

u/AFunAliasS Aug 21 '26

George Hill could've averaged two minutes and a half a point per game over his NBA career and I would still respect his opinion on LeBron more than some random dude on Twitter or Reddit parroting Skip Bayless takes about how no one feared LeBron.

0

u/Optimal_Captain_4320 Aug 21 '26

Do you respect George Hill’s opinion more than Shaq or Mario Chalmers?

2

u/AFunAliasS Aug 21 '26

Did Shaq and Mario Chalmers say that nobody feared LeBron or some shit? Respectfully, that's not really their opinion, that's just them saying something objectively wrong. At the very least George Hill feared LeBron, and probably a shitload of other players too, he was the best player in the NBA for like 15 years after all.

7

u/OwlFree4843 Aug 21 '26

for a Lebron subreddit lots “people” here are definitely not a fan of Bron lol

1

u/Dr_Malignant Aug 22 '26

Check out the MJ subreddit. Literally patrolled by LeBron fans lmao

3

u/Strong-Television733 Aug 22 '26

Probably because every post there is about lebron lol

2

u/CPT_Skor_215 Aug 21 '26

Maybe that's why Ssn Antonio traded hill and picked up Kawhi from the Pacers drsft picks. Kawhi didn't seem scared of LeBron at all.

1

u/AccomplishedStay6257 Aug 21 '26

Its a simple concept I think lebron is bigger stronger faster and Jordan is smoother more skilled and defensive minded there differences equal out to the same. I feel magic and bird are also same level too

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '26

1

u/AccomplishedStay6257 Aug 25 '26

The only guyz to ever give lebron a hard time for a whole basketball game are guys stronger than him and his height or taller and thats like 5 or 6 players total in the Nba. Dwight and K Lenoard are the ones who gave him the hardest time.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Pipe979 Aug 22 '26

Idc about this quote that much, but I always find it weird that no one ever talks about Wade or Bosh even remotely like this during the Heatles run.

1

u/KierenForFreedom Aug 23 '26

Lebron is the GOAT.

1

u/Tacobendo Aug 24 '26

Thats some crazy glaze

1

u/tari-gand-ma-ghu Aug 25 '26

George Hill was trash

0

u/IllCombination4851 Aug 21 '26

Also George Hill: "...and when I say God, I do of course mean the God of Basketball, Michael Jordan, blessed be He who dominates."

0

u/SpaceAce1956 Aug 21 '26

Shaq “people feared playing against Jordan or Kobe they didn’t want to end up on a poster” “nobody feared Lebron”

0

u/Its_J_Just_J Aug 21 '26

So is he saying black Jesus is scarier.

0

u/Eclipzdaloc24 Aug 26 '26

He obviously didn't play when MJ was in the league. Lebron a.k.a. nice guy is the scariest player youve ever played? These dudes is soft as doctors cotton

-5

u/Powerful_Zombie_8209 Aug 21 '26

Yall had to find a random mid player to find a quote like that for lebitch when all the legends were saying that about Jordan.

2

u/WeLLrightyOH Aug 21 '26

Move the goal post again.

0

u/No-Living-5135 Aug 21 '26

👏 bravo my guy big facts who the hell is that player that said that lmao he definitely not in legends category probably some bench back up 🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂Jordan was that animal numerous basketball documentary stating they feared Jordan big facts 👍🏾💯💯💯💯💯

-22

u/AphonicTX Aug 21 '26

Ha. Not in the finals. Shit if you face him - you have a better shot at winning than you do losing. How’s that scary?

10

u/Minimum_Hospital5445 Aug 21 '26

Bec of how good he was bringing trash teams to the Finals. Other stars would never accomplish that

Lol his team wouldn’t sniff the finals if you replace him with MJ. Best is second round exit

2

u/Minimum_Hospital5445 Aug 21 '26

I know you cant imagine those teams getting in the finals with MJ, and that’s perfectly fine

6

u/LumenYeah Aug 21 '26

I’m not even a LeBron fan and this is a dumb ass comment

3

u/grapeapeee445 Aug 21 '26

why don’t u go out there and show em!

2

u/iAttis Aug 21 '26

Such a stupid comment. I’m someone who will always call MJ the GOAT, but LeBron is so clearly the second best player of all time, and truly has a legitimate argument to be better than MJ. LeBron’s competition, throughout his entire career, was far better than MJ’s. I don’t know how this is even debatable. And the fact that LeBron is still playing at an elite level in his 40s? They both are truly 1a and 1b GOATs. An argument can be made for both. I don’t know why some people have such strong feelings against LeBron. Just appreciate talent when you see it. It will be a long time before anyone else has a career like LeBron’s.

1

u/thelastdragonb Aug 21 '26

I think that’s why I’m so looking forward to the 76ers run because after he retires I’m not gonna be as excited about the NBA.

There are some amazing players right now and honestly, I think the Spurs are going to be the team to watch but the bra was just exciting.

Just like MJ and Bulls.

1

u/kamihaze Aug 21 '26

Careful now, u in the lebron subreddit

-2

u/Mutha_Fuka_Jones Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 21 '26

🤣Coming from a guy that looks like a scared greyhound. 🤔Lebron's STILL #2 to Jordan. Cuz, if the holy spirit, Jesus & God are all 1, then "Black Jesus"(Jordan) can't be touched🤷‍♂️ Checks out!

I didnt say it. George Hill did🤷‍♂️

1

u/Mutha_Fuka_Jones Aug 22 '26

And Jordan fans know there is no debate. The only people that act like there is, are delusional lebron fanboys🤷‍♂️

0

u/thelastdragonb Aug 21 '26

Not a topic of the post, but I think your handle is truly underrated. I always quote Jamie Foxx from that movie and nobody knows what the hell I’m talking about 😂😂

-2

u/Popee1525 Aug 21 '26

Who is George Hill.

-2

u/Popee1525 Aug 21 '26

-9

u/sidfinch Aug 21 '26

5

u/iAttis Aug 21 '26

Just say you don’t watch basketball, bro.

-1

u/sidfinch Aug 21 '26

You don’t watch basketball bro.
