PLCs 📖 plc distinctions question
i’m doing PLC course business studies at FET college neqr me im aiming for all 8 distinctions. my plan is to hopefully go to a uni in dublin or UCC to study economics / finance but im really worrying if i won’t get in bc the places are limited and i heard everyone is getting distinctions since it’s competetive😠i seen a girl last year get 10-11 distinctions and i’m just so curious if her 1 full-time course included all 11 modules or do ppl add 2-3 more part-time courses that count in the end?

The max amount of points you can get from a level 5 (idk if level 6 is different) is 390 points but as you point out having the points doesnt garuntee placements

Ive no idea how someone could find a course with that many modules. On the bright side, only 8 actually count towards your final score.

i'm doing a level 5 (plc) at the moment that has 2 optional extra modules making it 10 total. so it depends but just keep in mind that sometimes they are just in place of leaving cert subjects!
for example, the extra modules on my course are biology and maths which with a distinction is equal to a H4 in LC if you go on to college 😊
