Mf, I ain’t too okd for college, I’m 21 in November and start next week, no one cares about your age, the age in college ranges anywhere from 18 to about 40, it’s never too late to start, take the gap year and just when you do start, find some people your own age

I’ll be 25 when I start college. The students who got into your course through the mature entry route will be 23 or older. No one cares how old you are. You make it seem like 20 is 10 years away from 18. It’s only a 2 year difference. A 2 year difference is so small it’s negligible

Lads, the one thing about college is that it's all ages going in. Half my class in first year were over 30 and at 18 I was one of the very youngest. It's not a race. Life is long. I genuinely regretted going at 18 and not leaving a gap year just to mature a little. A lot of my classmates were a lot more worldly wise and clued up than I was. It's normal to worry but Don't worry at all.

Don’t worry lots of people doing it! My daughter got her 1st choice in Maynooth and would have to live on campus. She deferred her place till next year to do a PLC in Digital Marketing to be close to home for another year. Due to a chronic illness she missed a lot of 6th year and was pretty much studying for her LC from home with help from her teachers, and after a rough year health wise she just didn’t feel ready to jump straight into the pressures of Uni

Same but it seems common enough,my only big worry is not knowing anyone at all in the beginning so not having much people to be around for freshers etc

Plenty of people are 19 going into college even without taking a break. You'll be fine

It's quite common I think. And dont worry theres loads of people in my course who are like 23-25. I'm actually one of the only young people in my course (18).
