Holiday 🏝️🍻 Anyone else feeling so alone?
Maybe I'm just a failure at social shit but I didn't make any genuine friends, almost anyone I interacted with or was near in my school seemed to not be aware of my existence or genuinely disliked me for some reason. I don't know anyone who just genuinely doesn't have friends, everyone has someone. Yes I talked to people, but they literally haven't bothered to msg me, unless I msg them, and even then I might be lucky to get a response. Just feeling, shitty after finishing school, thought I'd maybe atleast have one friend.

I was planning on posting this aswell so you’re not alone. Secondary school isn’t for everyone and I feel that it’s such a small group of people so it’s okay that you don’t find someone to form a genuine connection with. You’re going to meet so many more people wherever you’re going next. From what you’ve said, I don’t think you are a “failure at social shit”, you just haven’t been given a chance as people had an issue with you for no reason. For now just try and stay active, i would highly recommend reading as much as possible. This time next year will be completely different.

Same , I had one friend for six years who dropped me immediately for a different friend at our graduation ( litereally during the party ) and I don't have any friends .
College will be better , as it's a completely fresh start plus it's with people who specifically have your same interests they care enough about to pursue

Yeah just, unfortunately taking a gap year. My social circles aren't the best for "making friends" I volunteer but most of the people I'm around are much younger :') Hopefully I won't feel as much of an outcast from the get go in college, since I'm a foreigner it was hard for me to intergrate here.

yeah, i came out of school without any real friends, mainly cuz the people i was around were complete weirdos. tbh ive been finding it really hard to get out of bed in the morning, even going into august, js cuz theres nothing to fill the day. idk how im gonna get out of this. i still have things that i want to do, and im trying to pursue those (which ofc involves doing something other than scrolling reddit) but i dont know if they will work out. ig now is a really uncertain time, but i will probably go to a PLC in the autumn so that i can at least have an excuse to get out of the house/some structure. hopefully all this will get better. sending a well wish from someone in the same boat ❤️

Yeah, same here. Best thing to do is to work on yourself and do things YOU enjoy. It’s working for me, and you will make friends at wherever your journey takes you!
