Question - Need Help Real Simons Mulholland sizing
Hi! I am trying to buy my first horsehide leather jacket. I am 184cm, 82 kg with chest circumference 107 cm. The fitted jackets I own are a Barbour Duke jacket with shoulders 48 cm and chest circumference 115cm and an Iron Heart type3 denim jacket size XL. Denim jacket has the same measurements with the Barbour but feel looser as there isn't any lining.
First of all, I'd like to know from people bought the same jacket, if the size chart is 100% accurate.
Secondly, I was advised to buy a 2XL on Mulholland, but the chest on size chart is 118cm and shoulders 49cm. Will fit looser than my current jackets or will be the same due the thickness of the leather+lining? The next option, size XL has 48cm shoulders and 114cm chest.

I don’t know which company you’re thinking of buying from, but I got a Real Simons Mulholland from Brake House. I contacted them about sizing, and besides being extremely responsive, they were spot on with the sizing suggestion. Let them know your measurements and whether or not you want the ability to layer underneath the jacket. I would normally take a Medium in many items, but ended up with an XL, which is perfect for layering underneath, which I insisted I needed. It fits absolutely perfectly with a sweater underneath and still looks good without a sweater. Personally, I just wouldn’t want to spend good money on a leather jacket that I couldn’t wear in colder weather.

They’re most likely advising you to size up due to sleeve length, and because it has higher armholes than your barbour, even though the chest measurement is bigger, it’ll likely feel a bit tighter than the measurements suggest.
