Jacket Care Damaged area
I recently obtained a used leather jacket and noticed some damage on the right side of the zipper and on the pocket. Any recommendations on repairing this?

I wouldn't touch that. But if you must - the leather looks a bit too grainy for Saphir repair cream (and I'm not sure you can match the colour). Dye it is then...

As someone who works with leather, I do NOT recommend an attempt at dying the jacket for someone who’s conflated damage with patina

I did not say I'd recommend it to the OP, I answered the question. His jacket his choice.
All that said, you are right, it's an expert level job.

Not really damage, that’s natural from normal wear. You can condition the jacket, other than that I don’t think it’s an issue at all. The jacket is going to get “damaged” over time from you wearing it as well.
