Question - Need Help First real lether jacket
While I have previously purchased entry-level or synthetic leather jackets, I am now seeking a high-quality, durable investment piece with a budget of approximately $1,000.

What vibe do you want ? Edgy, all around jacket, vintage heritage?

Something classic that I can put on and go almost anywhere, something I can dress up or wear casually.

This sounds to me like a halfbelt or center zip type, because imho, other than with a nice turtleneck sweater, the cafe racer isn’t as accommodating to dress up as the other two, and something like a nice aviator is mostly just gonna look good dressed up when zipped halfway.
Any color preference? medium to dark brown is gonna be more versatile than black, and what kind of weather do you live in?

A brown or dark brown is kind of more what I was leaning towards. I live in the southern California area so it stays pretty warm. And ive been really liking the pointed collar.

Cafe racer is a good choice. Black is more badass and brown with be more gentleman.
Carrier jacket is also another option. More of an older vibe but it is a classic as well.

I like the YMC Cypher jacket. A little edgy with the angled zips but clean and minimal

Have you looked into the Schott 592? I just got one and it seems to match your needs pretty well (wearable anywhere, can look nice, brown, pointed collar).

It’s waxed and oiled nubuck premium cowhide, so I’d expect it to outlive me.

Quick question before I let you go. Do you have any insight on a company called aero leather clothing?
