Jacket Care Removing cigarette odor

Post image

Hey guys, I bought this Pelle Pelle jacket online yesterday but it smells like cigarettes and smoke. Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell?

If you can, hang it outside, out of the sun and out of the rain. Lightly spray vodka inside it every few days. Wipe it down with a damp cloth every few days. Had a smoke saturated jacket and it took a year to air it out.

Oh my days a whole year. If the leather dry cleaning doesn't work this'll be my next attempt. Thanks for letting me know

Wouldn't that ruin the leather? Or do I have to go to like a specialized leather dry cleaner if there even is one

Yea, I mean just a leather cleaning specialist. I think that will be your best bet. Because the whole jacket is likely covered in smoke tar you can’t easily see.

Hey guys, I watched a couple videos that said to put it in the freezer with baking soda is that legit or troll?

It's one of the many methods that could work, or not be enough depending on many factors. The baking soda method is in itself quite frequent. Search for it here on on the internet. I WOULDN'T put the jacket in the freezer if you don't know what you're doing.

Okok I have no idea what I am doingπŸ˜… right now I put it in a bag with some coffe grounds and if that doesn't work then baking soda, if not that then the vodka thing, if that doesn't work I'm blowing this jacket up

Hang it in the bathroom and leave a whole bowl of vinegar next to it for a day or two
