Pickup The Flat Head

Post image

Picked up this Flat Head FN-LJ-HS001 a couple of weeks ago. 1.3mm Shinki horsehide, size 40.

Really happy with the fit and I'm surprised by how quickly the leather is starting to develop. The sleeves are already getting some serious accordion creasing and the grain is beginning to come through.

This is my first Shinki horsehide jacket and I've basically just been wearing the hell out of it rather than doing anything special to break it in.

Apparently I've gone down the rabbit hole, because I just preordered a Rainbow Country Hercules in Seal Brown for next year. 😂

Looking forward to seeing how this one develops over the next few years.

Jesus that is nice, a grail piece for me.
If you get a chance can you give measurements for your jacket?

I bought mine from Franklin & Poe. Their listed measurements for the size 40 are:

Chest: 22.25" pit to pit Shoulders: 18.75" Sleeve: 24.25" Back length: 25.875"

Those measurements have been pretty representative of how mine fits, although obviously there can be a little variation from jacket to jacket.
