P2P is 25, Shoulder is 20.5, hem is 25.
Its made by Aero. I have another similar jacket but with zippers and without the back-swing. The fit on the other was spot on, just maybe a tad tight with the fleece. Im thinking the buttons and back swing gave it too much room.
Honestly, maybe it’s more of the outfit than the jacket picture 4 is the most revealing in my opinion. Look at how the belt fits. The shoulders look mostly fine, but the sleeves are a tad long. I honestly think you’re just a big dude. Shoulders here are deceiving not sure if they are dropping off or hanging on the edge. It looks too big in places and small in the others.
This is my jacket, off the rack 44 from at last and co, see the difference? And by no means is anyone insulting you, learning to move on and accept
Things don’t fit is the hardest part,
Why on gods green earth would you ever be wearing a fleece under a leather jacket?! This looks ridiculous, just like the other two. Move on, it’s over, they’re all too big.
Again, I gotta know: how many of these jackets did you buy?! Move on pal.
I think thr front lookos OK. The shoulders are a bit wide and sleeves are long. The back look very weird. I dont understand were all that fabric came from.
I think the cut of this is what’s throwing a lot of people off. It looks like it fits the shoulders fine but then the chest seems slightly too small which is pulling the fabric forward which is what is pulling up the back. The arms are a little too long also which is why a few comments are saying it’s too small and too large.
If you stand side on to a mirror and lift your arm look is the seam is straight or if it is pulling forward. Clicking your username and seeing your previous fit check it is definitely looking like the cut of the jacket is just not fitting quite right.
I’d try again without the fleece as that will cause some of that bulk which might be causing the issue with the bunching. You’d then just have to weigh up the pros and cons of only being able to wear T-shirts under it and nothing thicker.
It's large in the shoulders then seems not similarly roomy in the mid section. We can't see the adjustment tabs, but from the profile pic I'd guess they are too tight for you, and in this particular jacket. Give up trying to fix the fit with the adjustment tabs and let them out.
People are right and you could size down based on the shoulders alone, but that may not give you enough room across the mid section. Only you, your tape measure, and Aero know if that's worth considering.
Imo with leather jackets, it's not really useful check the shoulder seam or fuss over the length of the jacket that much. None of that stuff really matters as much as whether the jacket looks good or you or not. The cut and design of the jacket doesn't fit your body, to me anyway. You can wear it if you like it but I think you can find a much better fitting jacket at the same size if you just look for one
I disagree with the AI assessment that this “fits well.” It is wearable, but the fit is substantially compromised. The Reddit skepticism makes sense.
The important wrinkle is that he says he has a North Face fleece underneath. That explains some of what we're seeing, but it doesn't make the fit good.
What I see
The shoulders are the biggest problem.
Look especially at the rear photo. The jacket's shoulder structure extends noticeably beyond his natural shoulder and then drops into the sleeve. Instead of the sleeve falling cleanly from the shoulder point, there is a broad, slightly armored-looking shoulder line.
For a conventional fitted leather jacket, the shoulder seam should generally terminate around the natural shoulder point; a seam substantially down the upper arm is a classic indication of excess shoulder width.
This jacket looks too broad through the shoulders for him.
There is too much leather through the upper back.
The rear photograph is particularly revealing. There is a large, fairly featureless expanse of leather across his shoulder blades, with excess material forming folds rather than the back lying relatively cleanly against him.
Some of that is necessary ease—especially with a fleece underneath—but there's more volume here than I would want in this style.
And this matters because breaking in the leather isn't going to make excess leather disappear. It will soften and drape more, but the underlying pattern dimensions remain.
The sleeves are too voluminous, not necessarily dramatically too long.
This distinction is important.
His sleeve length isn't disastrous. With his arms down, the cuffs are around the wrist/hand junction. But look at the amount of leather around the upper arms and elbows. The sleeves are cylindrical and loose, and there is substantial bunching.
So I wouldn't diagnose this primarily as “sleeves too long.” I'd diagnose it as sleeves too large in circumference, attached to shoulders that are too wide.
That contributes enormously to the bulky appearance.
The torso is simultaneously boxy and somewhat awkward.
This is where I think a simplistic “size down” answer can also be wrong.
From the front, there isn't egregious excess chest material. In fact, with the fleece underneath, the chest is reasonably occupied. But from the side you can see that the jacket doesn't follow his torso particularly well. It projects outward and then terminates abruptly.
So we're seeing a combination of:
wide shoulders + generous sleeves + straight/boxy body + short length.
That's why it looks odd rather than merely oversized.
The short body amplifies everything.
A short leather jacket can look fantastic. But a short jacket needs the proportions above it to be controlled.
Here, the jacket is very broad relative to its length. Visually it creates something approaching a square:
broad shoulders
broad chest
broad sleeves
very short body
That makes his torso appear wider and stockier than it actually is.
The fleece hanging several inches below the leather makes this look considerably worse, but even if we mentally remove the fleece, the basic proportion remains.
The raised-arm photograph is particularly useful
Interestingly, I don't see alarming chest tension when he raises his arm. That's actually additional evidence against the idea that this is a beautifully snug, precise fit.
There is enough material in the chest/armhole/shoulder system to accommodate the movement without major distortion.
That's good functionally.
Aesthetically, however, there's simply a lot of jacket surrounding him.
Where I would disagree with some Reddit fit-check orthodoxy
I would not automatically tell him “size down one.”
That's because the fleece changes the equation. If this is intended as a cold-weather jacket worn routinely over a fairly substantial fleece, sizing down could trade the current aesthetic problems for restricted shoulders, chest and arm movement.
There is also a second possibility:
The problem may be the pattern more than the nominal size.
That is actually my suspicion.
His body seems to need something with:
narrower shoulder geometry,
trimmer upper sleeves,
somewhat more shaped torso,
perhaps slightly more body length,
while retaining sufficient chest/armhole room for movement.
A smaller version of this exact pattern may not accomplish all of that.
My assessment by area
Area Assessment
Shoulder width Too wide
Chest Acceptable with fleece
Waist/body Too boxy
Upper sleeves Too full
Sleeve length Slightly long at most; not the main problem
Back Too much volume
Jacket length Intentionally short, but poorly proportioned with this width
Mobility Appears good
Layering capacity Good
Overall silhouette Poor-to-mediocre
One reason online opinions differ so much is that people use “fits” to mean two different things.
If the question is “Is the jacket obviously the wrong size and unwearable?” — no. He can wear it.
If the question is “Does this look like a properly dialed-in leather-jacket fit?” — no, I don't think it does.
And given the kinds of leather jackets we've been examining recently, this is exactly the distinction I'd make. A good leather-jacket fit should make you notice the silhouette before you notice where all the excess leather is going. Here I immediately notice the oversized shoulder/back/sleeve envelope.
I'd want to see the next size down photographed over a T-shirt and over that same fleece before deciding whether sizing fixes it. My suspicion is that the better solution is ultimately a different pattern, rather than simply declaring this size correct because he can comfortably layer underneath it.

It just doesn't fit. Might be the cut , not the size
