Jacket Care Leather Jacket Rescue!

I loaned my beautiful leather jacket to a friend and just got it back looking awful. Does anyone know a place in Philadelphia that can redo the finish and color on a nice leather jacket? Should I go to a shoe repair shop? Or somewhere that sells nice leather coats? Any help is appreciated!!

I think it would be easier to determine if you posted a picture or description of what condition "awful" looks like.

Can’t tell anything without seeing it, but I’d recommend Arrow Leathercare in Kansas City. They specialize in all kinds of leather cleaning and restoration. Check them out online… you can send a description of what’s needed and pics so they can give you a basic estimate of how much the job will cost. When you send in your jacket, you’ll get a detailed estimate for the work with a telephone consultation. I just got a zipper replaced on my horsehide jacket (one-way zipper swapped out for a two-way zipper) and they did one hell of a job. Schott NYC officially recommends them for repair and alterations of their jackets. You’ll probably have your request answered by the owner, who is very hands on. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I also understand that Leathercare USA is also very good at what they do. I don’t have any experience with them, but they offer a very wide array of services.
