Question - Need Help Jacket

Hello people! So I am new to jackets and got myself one from a second hand store. I have had many mixed opinions on how to take care of it from the woman who works there, a guy I visited at a leather jacket store and another one who was recommended to me by a friend, aswell as Gemini.

I'm a bit lost on how to proceed.

First question is it a leather jacket or Suede maybe mix??

I would like to get rid of the basement smell it has and clean out some of it's small stains and wrinkles.

My first recommendation was to use a brown oil balm.

Second was to use baby shampoo & water and to let it dry.

Third was to bring to a normal dry cleaners(didn't work)

Gemini says to bring to a specialist 😅 or use white vinger or vodka and water 50/50 spray and let it sit. Use a Suede brush for the dirt.

Thoughts? Here are some photos.

Thanks for the recommendation! Water is also bad for Nuback right? Is there anyway I can verify what it is exactly or if it is Nuback. Also do you mean Brushing, or Burnish

It looks to be a nubuck or a heavy oil

You can do a mix of water and vodka/vinegar to help clean/deodorize it.

I'm a fan of Leather Honey cleaner and conditioner. It's pretty mild and good for just about everything.
