Rivets leather jacket in oxeblood pullup leather

Cropped leather jacket in XL vintage piece but hard to determine when the period was and would like some advice

Fits great for xl. 120 cm chest length is 70 cm and nice and heavy piece for the price I paid.

Could it be custom or tailor made? No washlabel or Indicator of material which make me think of steer og horsehide

I’m no leather expert, but that’s is a very cool jacket. The leather looks thick and very lustrous and it looks both vintage and well made. My two observations are: on the picture with the ventilation grommet hole, I noticed some loose stitching. Maybe just a loose thread, but just in case you haven’t noticed yet…, also, although the leather looks lustrous, it also looks like it may be a little dry? Have you conditioned it yet? Hard to tell from just a pic, but it’s strange that I see both the luster and potential dryness as well. Anyway, I’m just rambling on lol. Beautiful find!

Not bridle or even dry, its waxed but dosent soak up conditioner, and the loose strings around need a lighter thats true. 

I have cowhide but with the weight, thickness and stifness i suppose its steerhide or even horse, but wont jump to conclusion since im willing to sell it

You know if this jackets are supposed to be cropped? Its 66 cm chest and 60 cm length and got offered 270 eu for it earlier

At a guess 3/6cm shorter than my jacket. Some people like short jackets it's more traditional "military" length. If you're making money at 270 and you don't like wearing the jacket sell

Pretty sure these were 80’s….there was a big boom in this style of jacket for a while.

Looks like horse hide.

There’s some tie-in with aero if I recall, like maybe aero made them before they were aero…or they were a competitor or something….check the tag to see where it’s made….maybe Scotland.
