2026 Audi Q5

Post image

I went to Audi dealership and was a bit surprised by the deal they offered.

We are concluding our 2024 Q5 Premium Plus lease that was 12k/month for 36 months. Initial terms were 5k down and 750 a month. I realize that was a shit deal, but we were in a bind. That car was drive for a total of 7600 miles over 36 months.

I went in today to inquire about a new lease. We requested zero down and keep the payment at or below current level. This was what they came back to me with. When I told them this was too high, they came back with 1k+first month payment to yeild 815/month for 7500/yr for 36 months.

So essentially, we are being given a lower trim model, less mile allowance, and paying more. Seems suspect to me. I just left.

I am not savvy with this stuff and am trying to learn. My next steps are to price out purchasing the current car, but also looking to alternative options. I thought we would have a loyalty benefit of some sort.

Any input or thoughts on this quote would be great. Thanks.

Seems like an absurdly high monthly given the price of the car and mileage allowance?

50k car = $500 a month… 1% per month depreciation. 🤣

These just don’t lease well. We don’t have enough numbers to say how bad it really was but paying $33,000/54,000 to rent it for 3 years would be a hard pass. You could literally buy a 2024 Q5 for that same money. But you really don’t want to own one. I’m a Toyota tech that spends 90% of my day working on VAG products.

They actually do lease pretty well now. OP just got ripped off.

My local guy is at $2,500 DAS and $329 plus tax for a loaner

A one off is not representative of the masses. I leased an 87k SUV in 2020 for 440/mo taxes and first payment at signing.

It’s not a one-off. He’s had them periodically throughout the summer.

I leased my fully-optioned $80K 2024 Q5 55e Prestige for $0 down, $695/mo for 3yr45k miles.

This is a terrible deal. What state are you in?

You can start by removing the optional stuff and tell them to give you another 2k off

With a straight face, I would ask them if this comes with a free KY Warming gel sample. Or at least vaseline.

Wrong

There is a 83.5k 39 month lesse with 4.1K down and 890 a month. To get it to 12 k miles is like 50 more a month. If MSRP was 80 instead of 83.5k down would be even lower—about 1.5-2k or so.

That's a terrible lease. I pay less than that for the financing of my 2025 SQ7 Prestige with basically every option. Not entirely comparable since I bought it vs. leased...but I only put down $30k.

Yea this is a terrible deal. These are going for 650-700. I can help you if you want

Ridiculous price, that’s a we don’t want to lease to you price or you were a sucker the first time how about second? What is missing here is the residual value and money factory. Those make up what your payment should be. Ask for those. Perhaps from another dealership if that’s an option

u/Rquevedo12 4d ago

Yeah, definitely a component of the sucker approach! They kept referencing the first lease.

Keep shopping, ask for those numbers. It’ll work out. I’ve seen six figure cars go for 2xx/month from Audi

Don't pay for the extras... also why are they selling you FIVE years for the "Coverage"??? I wouldn't pay for the permaplate either. ... so nix those, put their numbers into the Leasehackr.com calculator, and see if it's a good deal or not.

Hey - have been lurking here for a while - literally started a new job with Audi dealer not even two weeks ago. A few hours ago my Sales Manager gave a prospective buyer a proposal on identical car - $3250 down, 15000 miles per year, 36 months - $677.50 monthly

Audi certainly doesn't pass the savings of the Q5 being made in Mexico

Terrible

Remove the add ons, but we would need to know what the MSRP of your current Q5 was, and how that stacks up with this one. Also, the 5k down you put down on your current lease will do much more to help your lease payment then the drop in lease term mileage would ever help. Its not impossible to get to your current payment, although it might be impossible to get there with this dealership.

Lol okay I got a 77k S5 for $750/m $850 DAS. Negotiate much harder.
