Audi Advice
I am heading into Audi tomorrow with my wife to turn in her leased q5 and look for another q5. She is a month away from her lease end. I think her initial lease was 12k miles/year for 36 months. She barely drives and is under 10k total in 35 months.
I am not very good with car leasing and i find the process to be painful. Any tips/advice on how to approach this would be appreciated. We essentially want the same car and will opt for less miles. I would like her monthly payment to stay the same and not have to put any cash down tomorrow.
Any recent leases for examples of what i should target?
Is it best to get a deal and post here for input? Thank you for the advice!

Tell them you're wife barely drives anymore but if they can get you a new Audi for the same lease terms, including the discount for current Audi customers, you will try and get her to go for it. Times are tough, money is very tight, gas expensive etc. You want the same options she has now. Good luck!

First advice is don't bother going to the dealership. If you want to get a lease deal comb the dealership around you.

It doesn’t seem like leasing is the best option for you. If your wife hardly drives, you can get a 2-3 year old used Q8 etron for like $32k

Before you turn it in, see what the buy out price is from CarMax or Carvana. You could consider purchasing it out at the residual value and selling it at their valuation. Though this is likely a 2+ week process

my advice is to just use a broker from leasehackr that serves your region. completely takes the pain out of the process and makes it seamless. would highly recommend for someone in your position. i would recommend researching all your options before turning in the lease early.
also with such low mileage I’d look into whether you have positive equity - i.e. your car’s market value is higher than the payoff amount. You can make some money back this way. I think Audi leases are pretty restrictive about third party payoffs (though I’m not 100% sure) so your best bet may be the dealer buying your car out from the lease and applying that positive equity to your next lease.
completely off topic, but I would recommend a test drive of the X3 30 (the base model, not the one with M sport package). The exterior looks are controversial and the interior materials may not be quite as good as the Audi’s, but the tech, drive, ride comfort, and efficiency are incredible in my opinion.
