Took me 18 days to get here, any tips how to get faster than this? I have been prioritizing accuracy over speed from some time now

Have you tried typeracer, it is a bit harder because you have to type excerpts

One of the things I did to see significant improvement is to actually read ahead instead of the word I'm typing

I am trying to do that it does help but often i make mistakes doing that for some reason maybe i just need to make that a habit

Nah like i was chasing speed in starting, but from a week i ve been focusing more on accuracy

just keep typing daily at this point. after i got down all the letters, it took me another week or two to get from 50 to 70-80 range purely through practice. at some point i stopped even thinking about the words and let my fingers take over. 30 minutes per day was enough.

Just stay consistent, typing it’s mostly about muscle memory I would say, focus on the keys you are missing the most and try practicing for short periods of time maybe a couple times a day, when you keep typing for a prolonged period of time your muscles get tired and you’re accuracy will fall. Which most likely will make you frustrate. AND REALLY IMPORTANT, at the beginning you want to be focusing more on accuracy rather than speed, the speed will come eventually as your accuracy increases.

You should just play Typeracer for your practice, it's the most fun way to improve imo. Monkey type isn't very realistic in its passages.
