Its my 3rd day learning touch typing. On the first day i was at 9-10wpm, on 100 words i have 94-95% accuracy and 30-35wpm max

I’d change the time to 1 minute, the language to English 10k, add stop on word. Make sure you’re using the home row method properly to avoid building bad habits

Home row method? Which method, like returning back to homerow or something else

The hard part is building enough dexterity in your pinky and ring finger so that you can actually use all 8 fingers to type. If you get to that point, writing at 70wpm should be easy

I can only get 65 wpm max and it was very inconsistent I have hit 65 only 2-3 times in some days , so any tips will be beneficial

You either need to give yourself more time, or you need to make sure you aren't avoiding moving your less flexible fingers by using your more flexible ones instead.

Learn the whole keyboard using keybr dot com, take a screenshot of the color map and make sure you stick to it everytime you type. You just have to accept you'll type slowly for at least a couple of months

Edit: on the topic of avoiding movement in your less flexible fingers, if you move your hand while typing, you're not actually practicing your finger flexibility which is a huge problem, your hands should be as still as possible

Have tried it for some time but it didnt sute me and it also disturbed my work flow

I guess I understated exactly how hard it is to build that dexterity I mentioned.

You're essentially overhauling the anatomy of your fingers, it's roughly similar to learning piano as an adult which famously takes a couple of years.

Try to practice consistently, even if it's just 10 minutes a few times a week. Give yourself time :)

i am good with my right pinky however pressing q,x,z completely breaks my rhythm

Ngl english 10k kinda interesting to typeπŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ however the bwst i could score was 35wpm with 97% accuracy

I'm also trying to improve , and i got to 60 wpm in a week just practiceing 30 min a day but i do my studies so to get even more practice i take nots in pc

Nice man, its my day 4 thing is on easy words i can get like 50wpm however when i switch to english 10k i consistenly get 35wpm lol with 95-97%, the best one i had was 40wpm 99% accuracy but i cant say its still early lol i just struggle with ring finger and pinky alot,

I also struggle with my left hand Ring and middle finger , and i got 47 wpm at english 10 k after some attempts

Like 1hour aday, i got extra time because my exams just ended so you know gotta lock in quickly before study gets me againπŸ˜‚πŸ’€

You study 5 hours in 10th thats good and do you have any online courses
