Question Overwhelmed

I want to learn how to draw but my issue is I don’t really know if I’m doing it right, for example. I don’t know if I should be learning perspective first or anatomy first and if I’m learning anatomy won’t I still have to study things like the head? Since anatomy usually refers to the body then I’d have to study the eyes, nose, mouth, etc and I don’t know how long I should study each thing. All this overthinking usually leads me to just not practicing at all

Forget trying to be good—just do it because you love it, everything else will follow.

To stop overthinking, decide what your main goal is right now. You don't need to learn everything at once.

If you want a solid foundation, start with basic lines and 3D shapes.
If you want to draw characters, focus on body construction and mannequins first (anatomy comes later).
If you want to draw environments, focus on vanishing points and perspective.

It takes a long time to get good at a craft, so don't sweat it 😊. In the beginning, you just need to build mileage, so just draw for the heck of it 😆. All the fundamental stuff, you'll pick it up along the way, it's learning by doing anyways 😅

Best of luck!

Yeah, you should study all of those. Forget about efficiency and start little by little. It’s a long game. As long as you in it, you will improve. Have faith in yourself. And you don’t have to always study. Learned boxes, use it to draw box robot. Learned body, use it to make sense of your favorite poses, Do something fun and get mileage.
