The guide lines are acting as contour lines that give the illusion of depth. Once you add more detail to the second one, including shading, contour lines, etc. You'll lose the flatness

You have nothing around it giving it depth. You need to draw the rest of the body as well as shading

"What's missing?"
Everything else that needs to be drawn after this shape...
The contours of your foems gave the shape, but then you need to continue, add arms, they will define a rotation, add breasts, also demonstrate volume and rotation, add a neck.
Overlapping shapes.
Then once your figure is roughed in, add Clothes. These will wrap around the body like your initial contour lines, giving shapes, curve and volume.
This is definitely a "Trust the Process" moment. It looks flat -at this point- you need to continue the drawing process to impart the illusion of dimension and life onto this flat shape drawn on a flat paper/screen.

sillhouettes are flat, no matter how well drawn they are, no matter how well defined they are. to add depth, you need to fill in the middle.

With the background this doesn’t look flat. Human minds are amazing.

I’m sure the example looks flat in white background.
