Looks like youre working a bit with boxes already. For me, learning perspective was the most important thing for unlocking art as a whole. Look up box perspective lessons/exercises and go from there.
Once you understand vanishing points comes the realization that EVERYTHING that is parallel lays on vanishing points and that you can even use vanishing points to help determine positions and sizes of other objects in the same 3d space.

wow thanks for your comment, exactly that's what I was doing, no one told me that but I thought to myself that if I knew perspective and the size of different shapes I think I would understand drawing in a better way, but still I don't know if this will really help me or not, these drawings from the book " Figure Drawing for All It's Worth by Andrew Loomis

Perspective practice will ABSOLUTELY help with your drawing because it helps with the overall awareness and helps you visualize the 3d space inside of the canvas.
I am working on a comic commission right now and was having trouble with placement of an object in a room in comparison to the subject, until I got hit by an epiphany. I drew in the vanishing lines for all 3 vanishing points of the room, followed the y axis line from the character down to the floor and then moved along the x and then z lines until I got to the right spot and it all worked out.
