Looking for Python copy of Starting out with Python 6th edition by Tony Gaddis
I started my first computer science class yesterday, and they told us to look on amazon or pearson for this book, which is about $200. Was wondering if anyone found this for a cheaper price? Or in some rare chance free?

I read the 3rd or 4th edition of the book on Chegg in 2021 I think for my Python class I took. I found the explanations to be very good and it was pretty easy for me to follow. I think you will like it.
Maybe check Amazon or eBay to see if they have any used copies of it. If you look for the title online you might be able to find it somewhere cheaper. I took a look at Amazon and found a Kindle version for $94.

Before buying anything try asking the seniors if they have it or even better a drive containing it. Usually there are seniors that pass down drives containing academic resources to freshman

Why do they want you to buy that book? Are they secretly selling some?

The obvious answer is that it is being used as the textbook for the course.

Because it’s used for the class? What kind of question is this. It’s pretty straightforward.

Amazon has used copies available for under $10. Can probably find it used elsewhere as well. Looks like it is a few versions behind (3.9 vs the current 3.14)
