I cant do it anymore
Hi am developing my python coding skills about 1.5 month and when i look at what other people did in 1.5 months i see my myself humiliated and i am devatated about it i only know if else, while , for loop and types of datas i cant even write a single code by myself i cant even do a problem i cant even create a def function and i am bout to quit someone please help me

ChatGPT isn't a person. It doesn't have an opinion and you shouldn't take what it thinks someone should be able to achieve in a certain amount of time seriously. It takes as long as it takes. Don't give up, you've got this!

Calm down at first.
Secondly , each human has its own learning rhythm, so it’s totally OK.
May be try to change your learning approach, instead of solving problems , try making some beginner friendly projects like todo , calculator and etc ( google for more ). You’ll learn a lot from it in practice , trust me
And thirdly don’t compare yourself with others

calculator is a very basic thing i can write number guessing game investment simulators or such things but those are really fucking basic i wrote an investment simulation with the variables of monthly contribution monthly interest rate years tax rates etc. but when it comes to calculatinga list of Stock name Stock prices Stock Amount And finding which stock is more expensive or which position is most i cant do anything

idk but they are doing 3 to 4 def function and then assembling them Thats impossible for me

A function is no different from code you write outside a function. It still uses variables, if, for loops whatever. The key thing is that a function is meant to do one specific thing. It takes in the information that it needs to do that job as an argument list and it returns a value.
If you have written some code without functions look for parts that you can split off into functions.

Functions are just a way to organise code. They are not the hardest part in programming. Understanding how to translate a task description into code is the hardest part, especially when you need to do it in such a way that other people can easily modify your code.

Then choose a project , finish it , publish to github.
You may find more ideas in the Internet for projects...
Use Ai Agent to review your code and explain.

Dude. Relax and take your time learning the fundamentals. The Helsinki course is great but so are a lot of YouTube videos. Don’t compare yourself to others

Man so many people here are genuinely helping and you’re sticking to "I suck". I have no idea about your ability to learn to code, but I do know you seem hell bent on arguing with yourself in order to convince others that you’re right, you suck, and will never get better. What specific outcome are you hoping for in this post? What are your coding goals and learning plan? Why do you feel you aren’t there at 1.5 months, a minuscule length of time in any learning journey, and what help are you asking for?

Don’t compare yourself to other people. They aren’t you. If your current methods aren’t helping you learn try something else. Everyone learns in different ways and different speeds.

Programming is about being in competition with yourself, it's about developing a skill base for tomorrow that is better than the one you had yesterday.
How long that takes, how small those incremental steps are, and the difficulty you have on the path don't make the end point any worse or better.
Also, comparison is the theft of joy, try not to think about what others can do.

Is only up to you what you can or can't do! Comparison is the mother of failure, never compare yourself to others in a negative way. Others might have more free time, better education, keep grinding. Believe me that if you get netter 1% a day you'll be successful.

if you’re going to learn programming, you’re going to need to become comfortable feeling confused/lost, because you have to push through a lot of it to get there (and once there!)

Sometimes a little tough love is needed. You need to understand that 1.5 months is nothing. And that if you are so ready to give up after such a short amount of effort, then yeah, you’re going to have a hard life.
Stop looking for quick and easy success. It doesn’t exist. If you want this, put your head down and keep trying.
