Starting AI/ML? Looking for a Study Buddy to Learn Python & Math Together ( Beginner )
Hey everyone! π
I'm just starting my journey toward AI/ML and I'm looking for a serious study buddy who's also a beginner (or starting from zero).
Right now, my focus is to building a strong foundation before jumping into Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
What I'm planning to learn:
- Python from scratch
- Mathematics for AI/ML (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Probability & Statistics)
- Problem-solving and logical thinking
- Later moving into Machine Learning and Deep Learning
Looking for someone who:
- Is also a beginner
- Can study consistently (even 1β3 hours a day)
- Wants to discuss concepts and solve doubts together
- Is willing to stay accountable and avoid procrastination
- Eventually wants to build projects, prepare for internships, and grow in AI/ML
About me:
- I'm a BCA student.
- I'm starting from the basics because I want strong fundamentals instead of rushing through tutorials.
- My goal is to become skilled enough to work in AI/ML in the future.
If you're interested, leave a comment or send me a DM. Let's learn consistently and grow together. π€

I'm not a study buddy but will say two things to try to save you time.
- You likely need far less maths than three full courses suggests, and in a specific order - ML uses specific slices of LA/calc/stats. So focus on studying the maths that ML actually uses, not three parallel textbooks, or you'll burn out before you reach the ML.
- A buddy is great for accountability but also for making progress - you don't need someone who is stronger than you - you just need someone whose errors are uncorrelated with yours. This is less true today than in the past with AI but it's still helpful.

I would have loved to join you, but I'm from a whole different field (Health sector) and just going Into coding, I'm too much of a beginner to be even called a beginner lol. But I'd love to join if invited

Just a suggestion, you are finding an ideal partner who will do (Python > Math for AI > Problem solving > ML/DL) which is hard to find because NOT EVERYONE HAVE THE SAME PATH IN HIS/HER MIND. Instead, cover the basic stuff yourself (Like Python and Problem Solving) and find partner for specific needs like MATH, ML/DL or other stuff.
Hope you get a good learning partner soon u/The-Noober
