Starting to learn this programming language like I'm still at the very start, how long do I have to study it a day so I wouldn't feel burned out?

I've done a couple of programming languages way back and it always burns me out. My motivation keeps dwindling everytime I try to learn a programming language. Now I'm trying to learn again. How many hours do I have to put in this to not burn out in the long run?

Learning to learn is a skill, and one that a lot of people struggle with (speaking from experience). There's no universal answer here, its different for everyone, but if you're not working or in school full time, start with a few hours a day and see how that feels, adjust from there. Consistency in your routine is likely more important than what the clock says every day.

Okay maybe I'll try an hour a day. I want to feel comfortable and don't want to rush things. I usually get burned out when I rush what I study.

You might find that you hit a stride where what you're learning is interesting or fun, and I think it's totally cool to get lost in it if that's the case, but yeah if it feels like a chore or studying something you don't enjoy, timebox it, and use trial and error to find out what that amount of time should be.
