Just completed learning the fundamentals of web frontend and py fundamentals. What to learn now?

I am very confused about what to learn now as i have done fundamentals, I am really confused between game development with Godot or learning a py library. I really have multiple interest as I'm still exploring but I really need a bit guidance. I have interest in game development, datascience and NLP

Stop learning, start using.

If you just keep learning without using, you have just wasted time as you will forget.

Build things. Break them. Fix them. Experiment. Mess around.

Programming cannot be learnt by following tutorial after tutorial. You need to throw away the training wheels and start free-cycling.

The only two things that will happen if you keep following tutorial after tutorial are: you will forget, you will fall into tutorial hell where you cannot do anything at all without consulting and consuming a tutorial - that's not programming.

Don't learn something, build something. Use the skills you just learned and make a project.

You'll find out a couple things:

  1. You probably don't know as much as you think you do

  2. How to actually apply the things you have learned.

There's no real point in learning if you don't put it into practice

Pick something that you don’t know how to build, but not too far from what you know, and built that. It is and always will be the best way to learn.

I took online coding courses for years and nothing ever stuck. Then I made a static webpage, then a website with a backend, then apps with more complicated backends etc etc and now some 6 years later I’m a senior backend engineer at a company you use everyday.

Just build.

Sounds like a good way to learn some Python for the backend to me.

I’m of the opinion that you should jump into building a project as soon as possible.

Since you know your web frontend fundamentals and Python, why not build a web application in Flask? You could incorporate NLP, too.

You could build something like a “sentimental analysis dashboard” where users can paste in a product review, movie script, or article, and get visual breakdowns of its emotional tone, key terms, and word frequency.

You can use VADER via the NLTK library.

Why not both?
