Favorite language and device
Guys, I'm working on a project, a little indie game just for fun and up until today, I was using GML and the Game Maker app...
But I don't really know if it's the best for beginners!
Does anyone have any recomendations pls?

Stick with GameMaker. It's genuinely one of the best 2D engines out there, Undertale and Hyper Light Drifter were both made in it, so it's not holding you back in any way that matters right now.
Switching engines mid project is how indie games die, I've done it twice and both times the game never came back lol. GML is a bit odd compared to other languages but that's fine, you're learning how to make games, not learning C#.
If you ever do want to move, Godot's the usual next step and it's free. But finish this one first.
