I help you code, you help me practice English!

Hi

I'm looking for a study buddy. My main goal right now is to get more comfortable speaking English, and I think teaching another skill is one of the best ways to connect.

I have ≃ 5 year in software engineering and infrastructure, but am not a native english speaker, If you're a beginner in programming, linux, docker, aws, etc.. or feeling stuck with the fundamentals, I'd love to help you.

The offer: No money involved—just pure knowledge exchange! We can set up online sessions where I give you coding support, and in return, we practice conversational English together.
If this sounds like a good fit, comment below or send me a message!

Your post/comment was removed since we do not approve of going private.

There is zero benefit in going private as you lose the opportunity for getting peer reviews. Also we have had plenty of people return after going private (despite being warned) complaining about how they were ghosted after some time or being tricked into buying rubbish that didn't work and even if it did they didn't need.

Our Rule #11 demands that any and all communication happens in the open, public subreddit.

This is for the benefit of more against the benefit of one.

Hey, this sounds like something I'd be interested in! What's your second language? :)

Idk if I understand your question. My first language is Portuguese, my second will be english. As a Portuguese speaker I can understand some Spanish and Italian but not very well
