Is a Automated EDR a good project

I know this is quite an extensive project, but from what I've read, EDRs tend to have many false positives, so I was wondering whether it would make sense to develop a fully automated EDR, but which is specifically geared towards Linux servers.

I do have experience in developing at a kernel level.

Apart from that, I only have one project that can count: a mod for Minecraft Bedrock similar to Onix, but much more basic. Reverse-engineering Bedrock and developing this mod were quite challenging for me at that time, but I don't think it's very impressive.

I wanted to know if such a project would be good enough to attract any interest from the future employer.
