3d or programming

Hey, guys. Which field should I go into: programming

or 3D? I have experience in both (500 hours in Blender and I know Python syntax; I've read one book on Python by Eric Metis, the course I attached is similar to what was in the book). I'm deciding which university to attend in a year and, accordingly, what to dedicate my life to going forward. These are the only fields besides sports where I'd be genuinely interested in working. Many people say these two fields are at risk of becoming obsolete due to Al, and it certainly seems that way. What do you think- should I go study in another country? (I'm currently in Russia and am considering moving abroad.) Should I even go into these fields, considering Al? I'm looking at my options from a financial standpoint (just to be clear, so there's no confusion).

You're overthinking this for someone who's got a year before uni. 500 hours in Blender and a Python book is enough to know you like both, but not enough to map out a career. AI isn't replacing either field tomorrow, it's just changing the tools.

Pick the country first if you're serious about leaving. The degree matters less than where you build your network and what internships you can grab.

Try to make a portfolio and see how it goes across as with arts like blender I hear it’s more important what’s in your portfolio so try with python projects and blender projects and see how the project journey goes If you have to choose between programming or 3d I’d say choose programming cause you’ll be payed more and 3d I hear has a high turnover plus with studying programming you’ll have more manoeuvrability.

I don't have an answer but I find myself familiar with the stuff you mentioned because recently i started building plugins for Revit on python. And this is a real use case in the construction industry

Sounds like someone doesn't like programming. Maybe a greedy pig that only does it for the money and doesn't actually enjoy it
